The project management plan is the document that describes how a project will be executed, monitored & controlled.
The project management plan integrates and consolidates all subsidiary plans & baselines from planning process group.
The plan may be summary level or detailed & may be composed of subsidiary plans.
The project management plan may only be changed via an approved change request that has cleared the, perform integrated change control process.
The project management plan includes details of the plan tailoring decisions specified by the project management team as follows;

  • Project management processes selected by the project management team.
  • Level of implementation for each process.
  • Descriptions of tools and techniques for accomplishing these processes.
  • Description of how selected processes to be used to manage project.
  • Including dependencies and interactions among processes & essential inputs/outputs.
